Suspect arrested in fatal spearing

HOLLYWOOD - A man was arrested on suspicion of murder after police said he killed an acquaintance with a homemade spear near his apartment early Sunday.

The two men had been arguing earlier, and the suspect said the victim was trying to break into his home, officials said.

Driver arrested in woman's death

`Baywatch' star arrested on DUI

ENCINO - ``Baywatch'' star and pop singer David Hasselhoff David Michael Hasselhoff (born July 17, 1952 in Baltimore, Maryland), nicknamed "The Hoff", is an American actor who was best known for his lead roles on Knight Rider and Baywatch.  was released from jail early Sunday after he was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, police said.

The 51-year-old actor/singer/producer was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at 11:20 p.m. Saturday at Ventura Boulevard Ventura Boulevard is one of the primary east-west thouroughfares in the San Fernando Valley; as it was originally a part of the El Camino Real (the trail between Spanish missions), Ventura Boulevard is the oldest route in the San Fernando Valley.
