BRIEFLY DEADLINE NEARS FOR MOORPARK SCHOLARS.


MOORPARK _ Moorpark College Moorpark College is a California-state funded community college located on a 134 acre (542,000 m²) property reclining on a hill in Moorpark, a town in Ventura County, California.  students have until May 16 to apply for thousands of dollars in scholarships to help them transfer to either of the state's four-year university systems.

The Julie Landstad and Hayim Abulafia Family Tuition Assistance Program The Tuition Assistance Program is a financial aid program for students who are New York State residents and are attending a post-secondary institution in New York.  will award $1,500 to $4,000 to individual arts and humanities students, with a total allocation of $20,000 a year.

The Fred Kavli Fred Kavli, b. 1927, is a naturalized American physicist, business leader, innovator, and philanthropist. Born in the village of Eresfjord, Nesset municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway.  Scholarship, established last year with a $150,000 endowment by the Moorpark-based industrialist, will award $1,000 each to eight transfer students in science, mathematics or computer studies.

K.M. Bushnell, a retired engineer who began her college career at Moorpark College, has established a $5,000 scholarship fund in honor of science professor David Murphy
