GREEN VALLEY - Green Valley's 27th annual Country Holiday Arts and Crafts arts and crafts, term for that general field of applied design in which hand fabrication is dominant. Donors are sought for blood drive

 Chambers of Commerce will host a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 20 in the chamber office conference room, 554 W. Lancaster Blvd. Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and have a photo identification.

Silent auction set by local art group

LEONA VALLEY - A silent auction and social gathering with the theme of ``Toulouse-Lautrec's Moulin moulin (mlăN`): see pothole.  Rouge'' will be hosted by the Lakes and Valleys Art Guild.

The event starts at 6 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Leona Valley Community Center at 8367 Lake Elizabeth Road.

The public is invited to view and bid on artwork by award winning artists. Guests can also have their portrait drawn, meet a Toulouse-Lautrec impersonator, or mingle with cancan cancan (kăn`kăn), a lively French dance marked chiefly by high kicking. It was developed in Paris in the 1830s and became a popular social dance there. By the mid-19th cent. it was incorporated into dance revues and stage productions.  dancers.

Area merchants have contributed refreshments and entertainment and dancing will be featured.

Admission is $15 in advance or $20 at the door.

LVAG is a nonprofit visual arts organization with almost 100 members. Its purpose is supporting the arts and artists, as well as building a foundation of art education for the youth and community at large.
