SUNLAND - A corpse was found in the Tujunga Wash Tujunga Wash is a stream in Los Angeles County, California. It is a tributary of the Los Angeles River, providing about a fifth of its flow, and drains about 225 square miles.  near Sunland on Tuesday, police said.

Coroner's investigators were sent to retrieve the body, which was found near where Oro Vista Avenue crosses the wash, police said.

Tujunga Wash is one of the main watersheds in the area and can be dangerous during rain storms.

Officers find body in abandoned car

PACOIMA - A corpse was found Tuesday in the trunk of a Ford Contour abandoned on a Pacoima street, police said.

The gray car had been parked in the 14200 block of Chamberlain Street for several days, and someone called to have it towed away, said Los Angeles police Officer Jason Lee of Media Relations.

When officers arrived, they searched the car and found the body in the trunk, he said.
