BRIEFLY COPS SEEK HELP TO CATCH GUNMAN.LANCASTER - Sheriff's investigators are asking for the public's help in identifying a robber who held up a Chevron gasoline station in the 1700 block of West Avenue K. The ski-mask-wearing robber walked into the store, pulled out a handgun and told the two employees to hand over the cash from the register. The employees complied and the man fled. A customer stepped outside the door and watched the gunman run south down an alley between 17th and 18th streets west. Investigators believe the robber lives in the Sunset Ridge apartment complex. The gunman was described as African-American, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds.
