NORTH HOLLYWOOD - Coldwater Canyon Elementary School is scheduled to hold a thank you assembly today to show appreciation to those who helped out after vandals caused $50,000 in damage to the campus last month, officials said.

Boeing hit with suit over Rocketdyne

Two Simi Valley residents and a Reseda woman have sued Boeing North American Inc. in federal court, claiming pollutants from Boeing's Rocketdyne facilities gave them cancer and other ills.

The claim is brought in a civil action, usually by close relatives, as enumerated by statute.  on behalf of her mother, Alberta Dorothy Wengryn-McNabb of Simi Valley, claim radioactive contaminants and hazardous substances made them sick.

The plaintiffs also sued Rockwell International Corp., which operated at least one Rocketdyne facility, and The Boeing Co. No one at Boeing or Rockwell could be reached for immediate comment.
