SIMI VALLEY Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969.  - Pacific Grove Pacific Grove, residential and resort city (1990 pop. 16,117), Monterey co., W central Calif., on a point where Monterey Bay meets the Pacific Ocean; inc. 1889.  Foursquare Church will be joining with Sonrise Christian Fellowship of Moorpark under the new name Sonrise Pacific Church, officials said.

The combined church, under the leadership of Sonrise Pastor Eric Sweitz, will hold an opening celebration at 10 a.m. Sept. 10 at 5384 K Kazuko Court, Suite B, Moorpark. For information, call (805) 523-1200.

St. Paschal names education director

Avocados, citrus, vegetables, strawberries, and nursery products are grown.  - Kathleen Rose Brown has accepted the position of director of religious education at St. Paschal Baylon Saint Paschal Baylon (or Pascal Baylon) (24 May 1540–17 May 1592) was a Spanish friar and is a saint in the Roman Catholic Church.

He was born at Torre-Hermosa, in the Kingdom of Aragon, on 24 May, 1540, on the Feast of Pentecost, called in Spain "the Pasch of
 Catholic Church, officials said.

Brown has 30 years of religious education experience, including as a religious education director in the Vancouver area.
