BRIEFLY CAR CRASH SPARKS FIRE IN MOUNTAINS.

One fire was extinguished within minutes but terrain and heavy brush hampered the control of the other, officials said.

Officials were not sure what caused the crash and did not immediately know whether anyone was seriously injured.
