on May 6. He was allowed to purchase food but was told he could not eat inside with the dog, the suit states.

Nelson Solis, the restaurant manager, said service dogs are allowed, but only for the blind, and added that Gabler was accompanied by another person.

The restaurant, which has a ``no pets'' sign, is small, with tables close together, making it difficult for people to eat with a dog around, particularly if they can't tell if it's friendly, Solis said.

Gabler was asked to leave the dog outside, Solis said.
