Markowitz jailed in robbery case

Benjamin Markowitz, whose drug debts allegedly led to the kidnapping and murder of his teen-age halrother last year, was sentenced Tuesday to 16 months in prison for an attempted robbery in which police said he entered a Woodland Hills home armed with a gun and took $200 from an acquaintance.

Markowitz's halrother, Nicholas, was kidnapped last August by assailants who said Benjamin owed $36,000, according to according to
