BRIEFLY BABY GIRL CRITICAL AFTER ACCIDENT.

GLENDALE - A 16-month-old girl was in critical condition Thursday after her grandfather accidentally ran over her in his Chevy Suburban as she sat in the driveway.

Police said 65-year-old Agop Manos did not see his granddaughter as she sat in the SUV's path about 9 a.m. at her home in the 400 block of School Drive.

The child's mother told police she had left the child inside the house for a few moments while she went outside. The little girl made her way out the door, sat in the driveway and was backed over, police said.

The baby was rushed to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  where she underwent surgery for broken ribs, crushed lungs and damage to her kidneys.
