The Avengers suspended starting quarterback Todd Marinovich Todd Marvin Marinovich (born July 4, 1969 in San Leandro, California) is a former American football quarterback who played for the Los Angeles Raiders of the National Football League. His career also included stints in the Canadian Football League and Arena Football League.  on Sunday for ``conduct detrimental to the team.'' The suspension is indefinite, but Marinovich likely will miss only Saturday's home game against Oklahoma.

In Friday's loss to Nashville, Marinovich threw a towel at a referee while arguing an intentional-grounding call late in the first half. In the previous game, he threw a clipboard onto the field from the bench after a disputed play. Marinovich was ejected from both games.
