BRIEFLY AUTISTIC BOY HURT IN CAR COLLISION.


NORTH HILLS - A broadside crash in North Hills on Monday involved a sport utility vehicle carrying three autistic autistic /au·tis·tic/ (aw-tis´tik) characterized by or pertaining to autism.  children, including a 12- year-old who suffered cuts on his head, police said.

The boy with the cuts on his head was taken by helicopter to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.

Pair of crashes slow I-5 traffic

No life-threatening injuries were reported in either crash. The first occurred at 7:58 a.m. on the I-5 just north of Terra Bella Street when a car struck the center divider and later was hit by a truck, according to the California Highway Patrol. The driver sustained minor injuries.

Less than an hour later, a big rig collided with a van on the I-5 just north of Van Nuys Boulevard. Two lanes were closed for about an hour after the crash, which caused one moderate injury, according to the CHP CHP Chapter
