BRIEFLY ANNUAL CROP WALK HELPS FEED NEEDY.


SANTA CLARITA - The Santa Clarita Valley The Santa Clarita Valley is the valley of the Santa Clara River in Southern California. It stretches through Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Its main population center is the city of Santa Clarita. The valley was part of the 48,612-acre (19,672.  Interfaith Council will hold the annual CROP Walk on Thursday to raise money to feed the homeless.

The four-mile walk will start at 9 a.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church St. Stephen's Episcopal Church can refer to:

CROP - Communities Reaching Out to People - is a worldwide organization that networks with agencies in more than 80 countries to help the hungry throughout the world.

Locally raised funds also will benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Vin·cent de Paul   , Saint 1581-1660.

College students will show, sell art

VALENCIA - College of the Canyons College of the Canyons is one of the fastest-growing community colleges in the state. According to the National Junior College Research Association, College of the Canyons consistently ranks in the top 50 community colleges in the nation.  students will hold their holiday art exhibition and sale Nov. 30 to Dec. 11 in the campus art gallery An opening reception is planned at 6 p.m. opening day.

The exhibit and sale will feature works of art from across the creative disciplines. Purchases of the one-of-a-kind artworks will help both students and the Friends of the Fine Arts, the college foundation's support group.

Hours at the gallery are noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. The gallery is closed Sunday, Monday, Friday and all college holidays. The gallery is in the Media and Fine Arts building on campus, 26455 N. Rockwell Canyon Road, Valencia. Admission is free.
