The Antelope Valley
 Health Fair has been postponed a week to April 13, organizers said.

The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. that day at High Desert Hospital, 44900 60th St. W. Appointments are needed for the fair and can be made by calling (661) 267-0650 between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

The fair will provide free screenings for vision, height and weight, blood pressure, body fat, diabetes, hearing, scoliosis Scoliosis Definition

Immunizations will be offered for children and adults. Available for a small fee will be blood chemistry analysis and electrocardiograms.

Camp to benefit from folk concert

LANCASTER - A folk music folk music: see folk song.

Music held to be typical of a nation or ethnic group, known to all segments of its society, and preserved usually by oral tradition. Knowledge of the history and development of folk music is largely conjectural.
 concert will be held Thursday to raise money for Tech Trek scholarships, an annual summer science and math camp for seventh-grade girls living in the Antelope Valley.

The concert will begin at 7 p.m. at Cedar cedar, common name for a number of trees, mostly coniferous evergreens. The true cedars belong to the small genus Cedrus of the family Pinaceae (pine family).  Centre Hall on Cedar Avenue, one block south of Lancaster Boulevard. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and younger.
