BRIEFLY A.V. AIDS WALK SET FOR SATURDAY.


LANCASTER - The Catalyst Foundation's second annual AIDS Walk Antelope Valley will be held Saturday at the Lancaster Marketplace, located on Lancaster Boulevard west of the Antelope Valley Freeway The Antelope Valley Freeway is a freeway in Los Angeles and Kern counties in southern California. It is signed as California State Highway 14 along its length. It connects Greater Los Angeles to the rapidly developing Antelope Valley. .

Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m.

Opening ceremonies take place at 8:30 a.m. with the walk beginning at 9 a.m. Finish-line celebrations will be held at 10 a.m.

Proceeds from the 5K walk will benefit the foundation, which provides medical care and support services support services Psychology Non-health care-related ancillary services–eg, transportation, financial aid, support groups, homemaker services, respite services, and other services  to Antelope Valley residents with HIV/AIDS HIV/AIDS Human Immunodeficiency Virus/Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome . The foundation also offers HIV HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus), either of two closely related retroviruses that invade T-helper lymphocytes and are responsible for AIDS. There are two types of HIV: HIV-1 and HIV-2. HIV-1 is responsible for the vast majority of AIDS in the United States.  prevention programs and free counseling and testing.
