BRIEFLY 3 INSECT FOGGERS EXPLODE IN HOME.

CANOGA PARK - Windows shattered and cabinets fell apart in a family's apartment around noon Sunday after three insect foggers exploded, authorities reported.

The family disregarded the devices' warning labels, written in both English and Spanish, and activated the three cans at the same time, then left the building, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), also known as the Los Angeles City Fire Department to distinguish it from the Los Angeles County Fire Department. It is the agency that provides fire protection and emergency medical services for the city of Los Angeles. .

When they returned, one resident opened the door of the apartment in the 21200 block of Saticoy Street and the cans exploded, he said.

Fire officials think the sudden rush of air from the open door might have caused the flammable gas to ignite from the pilot light.

A 31-year-old resident of the apartment went to the hospital complaining of shortness of breath Shortness of Breath Definition
