Sponsored by Audubon California and the San Fernando Audubon Society, the walk will be open to the public. Those interested in participating should meet in the Kmart parking lot on Valencia Boulevard and Bouquet Canyon Road. The walk along the river will end at Central Park, where bird sightings will be discussed during an informal picnic. Walkers should bring their own lunches. This is the time of year when birds are migrating north. Experienced birders will be along on the walk to point out birds in the area, and they will provide information about protecting and attracting birds to local neighborhoods.
