BRIEFLY 1 ARRESTED, 6 CITED AT CHP CHECKPOINT.


PALMDALE - A sobriety checkpoint (programming) checkpoint - Saving the current state of a program and its data, including intermediate results, to disk or other non-volatile storage, so that if interrupted the program could be restarted at the point at which the last checkpoint occurred.  Monday evening netted just one suspected drunk driver, but six other motorists were cited for not having their children in child safety seats, officials said Tuesday.

 arrested the motorist just minutes after setting up the checkpoint at 7 p.m. at Avenue P-8 and Sierra Highway Sierra Highway is a road in Southern California, United States. Officials were unsure as to the number of cars that were checked, but said there was less than a quarter of the normal number that pass through a checkpoint in the four-hour time frame.

Checkpoints are funded by grants from the state Office of Traffic Safety.
