BRIEFLY : YOUTH, 15, ARRESTED IN PIZZA ROBBERY.

MOORPARK - A 15-year-old Moorpark youth was arrested Thursday afternoon on suspicion of punching a pizza delivery man and trying to steal a pouch full of pizzas, according to the Moorpark Police Department.

Police investigators said that the pizza delivery man was stopped at a traffic signal at Los Angeles and Moorpark avenues when the teen-age boy stepped up to his car, punched him several times in the face, then took a delivery pouch containing several pizzas.

A passing patrol officer witnessed the attack and chased the suspect. The suspect dropped the pizzas and ran into a nearby apartment complex where he was taken into custody a short time later, police said.

The suspect was lodged in Juvenile Hall. The victim did not sustain serious injury and declined medical treatment, according to the police report.
