At the conclusion of the two-day preliminary hearing, Superior Court Judge Arturo Gutierrez ruled there is enough evidence to try William David Hampton Jr., 19, of Casitas Springs and Jose Alberto Alcantar Vazquez, 37, of Camarillo.

The two men are to be arraigned Jan. 19 on charges of murder, attempted kidnapping, burglary and false imprisonment false imprisonment, complete restraint upon a person's liberty of movement without legal justification. Actual physical contact is not necessary; a show of authority or a threat of force is sufficient. The person falsely imprisoned may sue the offender for damages. , along with special allegations that may make them eligible for the death penalty if convicted.
