BRIEFLY : WOMAN CUSTOMER SHOT DURING HOLDUP.


NORTH HOLLYWOOD - A female customer was shot in the stomach during a robbery at a Lankershim Boulevard furniture store Sunday evening, police said.

Two men armed with a knife and a gun stole an undetermined amount of cash from Williams Furniture and Appliance in the 6400 block of Lankershim Boulevard just before 5 p.m., said Sgt. Gary Patton of the Los Angeles Police Department's North Hollywood station.

Several customers were in the store during the robbery, but the woman who was shot was the only one injured during the incident. She was in stable condition Sunday night at an undisclosed hospital and her name was not released, Patton said.

Armed trio takes cash from market

VAN NUYS - Police on Sunday were seeking three armed bandits bandit: see brigandage. who robbed a Ralphs supermarket in Van Nuys.

The robbers, who were all wearing masks, entered the Ralphs supermarket in the 14000 block of Beverly Boulevard at 11:10 Saturday night and forced everyone to lie on the floor, police said.

The bandits fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash, officials said. No injuries were reported.
