An 87-year-old Sun Valley woman was hit by a car and killed Sunday afternoon as she crossed a street in Sunland, police said.

The woman, Felicita Gargiulo, was halfway across Glenoaks Boulevard just south of Vinedale Street when the vehicle, traveling southbound south·bound

Bomb found at school detonated by squad

The Los Angeles County sheriff's bomb squad detonated a bomb found Sunday afternoon by employees at Dunsmore Elementary School elementary school: see school. , police said.
