BRIEFLY : WOMAN, 76, FOUND DEAD IN BATHTUB.


PALMDALE Palmdale, city (1990 pop. 68,842), Los Angeles co., S Calif., in the irrigated Antelope Valley; a growing residential suburb of Los Angeles near Little Rock Creek where it forms Lake Palmdale Reservoir, inc. 1962.  - Sheriff's officials are investigating the death of a 76-year-old Palmdale woman who apparently drowned in her bathtub.

Transito Conde was found dead shortly after 1:30 p.m. Saturday at her home on the 2700 block of Stephanie Avenue.

``She was not breathing, and subsequently pronounced dead,'' said Palmdale sheriff's Sgt. Scott Brickert.

Fire officials said that the woman's son and grandson-in-law found her in the bathtub and pulled her out after she had been under the water for approximately 10 to 20 minutes, officials said.

``We found her in full arrest,'' said Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  County Fire Capt. Dirk Wegner.

Man hospitalized after knife attack

PALMDALE - A 32-year-old Palmdale man was stabbed early Sunday morning Sunday Morning may refer to:

 after he stepped out of his apartment, sheriff's officials said.

Mark Brossard was airlifted to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center Providence Holy Cross Medical Center is a hospital in Mission Hills, California, USA. The hospital has 254 beds, and is part of Providence Health & Services. History  in Mission Hills shortly after midnight after he was stabbed in front of his apartment in the 38000 block of 11th Street East.

``He said that the suspect stabbed him with a 6- to 8-inch steak knife for no apparent reason,'' said Deputy Dave Miklos. ``He was yelling yell

Brossard said that a passer-by drove him to Fire Station 37 in downtown Palmdale, where he received initial treatment before being airlifted to Holy Cross.

He was in good condition Sunday Sunday: see Sabbath; week.  and was expected to be released, officials said.
