BRIEFLY : TEEN RUN OVER AFTER FALLING OFF CAR HOOD.


PALMDALE - A teen-ager remained hospitalized Friday after he fell off the hood of a car and was run over, sheriff's officials said.

Deputies were still investigating the incident, but they said two women or girls driving in the area of 33rd Street East and Avenue Q around 9:30 p.m. Thursday stopped to talk to several young men.

A 15-year-old boy climbed onto the hood of their car, which moved off, throwing the teen to the pavement and running him over, deputies said.

The youth was airlifted to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Newhall. His condition was not available.

Gang, curfew raid yields eight arrests

LANCASTER - Deputies arrested six adults and two juveniles Thursday night in a gang and curfew sweep, sheriff's officials said.
