Porter told police the men who tied him up robbed him of $469 he had received from his daughter. He had been drinking with the men earlier, and then they tied him up, the report says.

Officers arrested Frankie Louis Knapp, 24, and David Baysinger, 43, on suspicion of robbery after finding them a few blocks from the trash bin. Police did not find any money on the men, but they pulled a book called ``Stories of Men and Torture'' from Knapp's backpack.

The men told police the incident was just a prank, and that they had planned to return after going to the grocery store, the report says.

Police are still investigating.

Suspect breaks leg running from police

GLENDALE - A Burbank teen-ager broke his leg while running from Glendale police, who say they watched him vandalize a wall, officials said Friday.

Danny Gonzalez, 19, ran from police at Irving Avenue and San Fernando Road San Fernando Road is a major street in the city and county of Los Angeles. It starts off in Castaic as The Old Road, passing through Santa Clarita and the Newhall Pass, where upon its intersection with Sierra Highway near the junction of the Golden State (I-5) and the  on Thursday night, jumped a wall and landed in a trash bin, said Sgt. Rick Young.

When police caught up with him, Gonzalez was hiding under a car and told officers he had just been beaten up, Young said. Gonzalez was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Officers spotted newly spray-painted gang graffiti in an alley at Western Avenue and San Fernando Road shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday. Police followed the black painted markings and saw Gonzalez standing in front of a wall with fresh paint and a can of black spray-paint in his hand, a police report says.

Standing lookout were Carlos Andreas Perez, 18, of Burbank and a 16-year-old Burbank boy, the report says. All three teens ran after one of them yelled ``police,'' it adds. Officers caught them and arrested each on suspicion of vandalism.

They were cited and released, police said.
