BURBANK - A Burbank lawmaker's bill passed by the state Senate on Tuesday would require medical practitioners to lock up blood and urine samples that are left outside for pickup for testing.

BURBANK - Seniors have a chance to be crowned king and queen of Burbank's first senior prom, scheduled for June 19.

Contestants must submit an essay of 100 words or less on the topic ``Burbank senior programs improve and enrich lives of seniors.'' Contest winners will receive prizes and be recognized as king and queen.

The senior prom will be 7 p.m. at the Joslyn Adult Center, 1301 W. Olive Drive. Semi-formal and dressy dress·y

GLENDALE - The U.S. Small Business Administration will offer a series of seminars in Glendale to help owners and potential owners of small businesses with financing and developing innovative business plans.

The seminars will take place at the agency's Glendale offices at 330 N. Brand Blvd. The cost to attend is $20 for each seminar.

The sessions include:
