BRIEFLY : STABBINGS AT CONCERT LEAVE ONE MAN DEAD.Police were searching Saturday for the attacker who fatally stabbed a 21-year-old Los Angeles man during a concert at the Universal Amphitheatre. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said Luis C. Romero died from stab wounds after a fight broke out at about 10:20 p.m. during the Super Slow Jam concert, which featured bands from the 1970s and '80s. A 26-year-old man also was stabbed in the scuffle and was taken to a local hospital, said sheriff's deputies. He is expected to live. The department did not release the second victim's name, saying deputies were still investigating the crime. About 6,000 people were attending the event when a fight erupted among a group of concertgoers, deputies said. Deputies do not know if the same attacker stabbed both victims, but said the stabbings occurred at about the same time. SOURCE: - Daily News Man wanted in killing surrenders to police GRANADA HILLS - A man suspected of stabbing another man to death during an argument at a North Hills home surrendered Friday, a police spokesman said. Kenneth Meikle, 28, of Granada Hills went to the Devonshire Station about 9:15 a.m. and surrendered, LAPD Lt. Bob Tumas said. He was booked on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of Anthony Sculati, 29, Tumas said. Sculati was stabbed to death at 10723 Shoshone Ave. about 12:40 a.m. Thursday, said police Lt. Kyle Jackson. Jackson said an argument apparently led to the stabbing. SOURCE: - City News Service Collision on shoulder of I-5 kills passenger SUN VALLEY - A man died Saturday after the vehicle he was riding in veered off the Golden State Freeway and slammed into another vehicle parked on the right shoulder, the California Highway Patrol said. The victim, whose identity was not released, was thrown from the vehicle in the 7 a.m. accident, which occurred on the southbound 5 south of Sunland Boulevard, said CHP Officer Garry Goldenberg.
