Moorpark teen dies after cycle collision

VENTURA - John Lopez, 17, of Moorpark, who was injured Saturday in an off-road motorcycle collision, died Monday at Ventura County Medical Center Ventura County Medical Center is a hospital in the city of Ventura, California, USA. It is a 208 bed acute care hospital. The county also operates a 49 bed campus in Santa Paula.  after being taken off life support.

Lopez and another teen-ager were riding on a dirt road near Grimes Canyon Road and Broadway when they hit a motorcycle head-on. Lopez's companion suffered head injuries and a broken arm and was listed in critical condition at Los Arboles Medical Center in Thousand Oaks.
