GLENDALE - Sheriff's deputies with search dogs found a gun possibly used last week in the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old Hoover High School Hoover High School may refer to any of the following:
  • Hoover High School (Alabama), Hoover, Alabama, made famous by the MTV show Two-A-Days
  • Hoover High School, North Canton, Ohio
  • Hoover High School, Glendale, CA
 student, officials said Tuesday.

PACOIMA - A crash on the Ronald Reagan Freeway near Pacoima injured a 17-year-old driver and her younger passenger Wednesday.

The freeway was shut down briefly while a city Fire Department helicopter landed and picked up the younger girl for a flight to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850. , about 10 miles away.

The crash was reported at 5:37 p.m. at Glenoaks Boulevard, Fire Department spokesman Bob Collis said.

The youngster, who suffered head and neck trauma, appeared to be in serious condition, based on initial observation, Collis said.

The 17-year-old girl hit the car's steering wheel, he said, and suffered moderate injuries. She was taken to Providence-Holy Cross Medical Center in nearby Mission Hills.

Prosecutors request Snyder case revival

The state Attorney General's Office asked an appeals court Wednesday to reconsider its dismissal of political money-laundering charges against former Los Angeles City Councilman Art Snyder.

The state Court of Appeal ruled last week that Snyder's guilty plea to criminal charges was in error because his actions were subject to administrative penalties, including fines, not criminal sanctions.

Truck theft suspect dies in police chase

GLENDALE - One person died and another was seriously injured Wednesday when a stolen pickup truck crashed during a high-speed pursuit by police, officials said.

The two people were thrown from the pickup truck when it sheared sheared
