Scott Benedetti scored in the 83rd minute to give the Colorado Rapids a 2-1 victory over the Columbus Crew in Major League Soccer in Denver.

Roy Wegerle set up the winning goal, beating a defender and centering to Benedetti for a header past goalkeeper David Winner.

Colorado's Steve Trittschuh opened the scoring in the 41st minute and Robert Warzycha tied it in the 77th minute.
