Deputies said a masked gunman demanded money from a clerk at the 7-Eleven store at 844 E. Ave. J, then fled in a 1985 Cadillac sedan Sedan (sədäN`), town (1990 pop. 22,407), Ardennes dept., NE France, on the Meuse River. A noted textile center since the 16th cent., Sedan also has metal and brewing industries. The town became part of French crown lands in 1642. down Challenger Way. Deputies chased the car a short distance, until it pulled over and the driver ran across a field. While searching the neighborhood, deputies said the sound of breaking glass drew them to a vacant house on Avenue J-5, where they arrested Henry Duffy, 22, inside a bedroom. Tracie Collins, 23, was arrested in the car, deputies said. The college board this week approved the merger of the Antelope Valley Symphony Orchestra and Antelope Valley Master Chorale chorale (kōrăl`, –räl`), any of the traditional hymns of the German Protestant Church. The form was developed after the Reformation to replace the plainsong of the earlier service and as a means of congregational participation in into a single organization, to be called the Antelope Valley Symphony Orchestra and Master Chorale. Director will be David Newby, who has led the chorale since its inception eight years ago. For its 1998-99 season, the new group plans two orchestral concerts, one with just the master chorale, then three featuring the orchestra and chorale combined. - Daily News |
