BRIEFLY : REWARD ANNOUNCED IN AREA BOMB HOAX.


RESEDA - Cleveland High School officials announced Tuesday a $500 reward for the arrest and conviction of those who planted a fake bomb in front of the dean's office.

The fake device was likely placed Monday morning as a prank by students wanting to get out of final exams, Principal Eileen Banta said.

School was canceled and students will complete exams today, originally a pupil-free day, school officials said.

Man jumps to his death on freeway

Park is reopened after sewage spill

VAN NUYS - Health inspectors have reopened Woodley Avenue Park after waiting four days for it to dry out after a reclamation plant mishap that spilled 4 million gallons of sewage into the park last week, officials said Tuesday.
