Dallas Cowboys receiver Michael Irvin is risking suspension by his failure to respond to the NFL's drug abuse program, according to a Fort Worth Star-Telegram The Fort Worth Star-Telegram is a major U.S. daily newspaper serving Fort Worth and the western half of the North Texas area known as the Metroplex. Its area of domination is checked by its main rival, The Dallas Morning News  report Thursday.

A source told the newspaper late Wednesday that the All-Pro player has not responded to an NFL NFL

Irvin is free on $5,500 bond after his indictment Monday on charges of cocaine and marijuana possession.

``Anything involving the league's substance-testing program we will not comment on,'' a Cowboys spokesman said. ``There are confidentiality issues that prohibit us from commenting.''

The NFL has confirmed that procedural errors were made last year when drug tests were ordered on Cowboys players and the results of those exams were never released.

That would make it impossible for anyone to know whether any of the tests were positive, the league says.
