Washington Redskins
    The Washington Redskins are a professional American football team based in the Washington, D.C. area. The team plays at FedExField in Landover, Maryland, which is in Prince George's County, Maryland.
     coach Norv Turner Norval Eugene Turner (born May 17, 1952 at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina) is the head coach for the National Football League's San Diego Chargers. He also has served as head coach of the Washington Redskins and the Oakland Raiders, and as offensive coordinator for the Dallas  signed a three-year contract extension for an undisclosed sum Tuesday.

    Turner, 44, reportedly was signed to an original five-year, $3 million deal in 1994.

    Turner's teams have improved from 3-13 in 1994 to 6-10 in 1995 and 9-7 last season. But last season, they started 7-1 before losing six of their last eight games.

    Turner will take the team into a new stadium being built in suburban Maryland.
