The second-seeded Tigers (13-1) will play fifth-seeded Maryland (14-2) for the title Monday in a rematch of last year's championship game that the Tigers won 19-7.

Maryland advanced to its third title game in four years with a 19-8 win over top-seeded Loyola of Maryland.

Immediately after the second game, Syracuse coach Roy Simmons Roy Franklin Simmons (born November 8, 1956) is an American football player who played for the National Football League. TENNIS: Germany reached the World Team Cup final in Duesseldorf, Germany, when their two young Davis Cup players, Tommy Haas and Nicolas Kiefer routed Spain's Sergi Bruguera and Carlos Moya.

Haas sent a listless-looking Bruguera, last year's French Open finalist, reeling to his third straight loss 6-1, 6-4. Kiefer's 6-1, 6-4 victory over Moya was just as one-sided.

The surprise victories by the two 20-year-olds, being groomed to replace semi-retired Boris Becker as the country's new stars, clinched the title in the blue group title for unbeaten Germany. Becker and David Prinosil followed by rolling past Francisco Roig and Tomas Carbonell 7-5, 6-3 in the doubles to give Germany a 3-0 sweep.

In today's final of the clay court tournament, the Germans will play the Czech Republic.

Top-seeded Marcelo Rios needed just 50 minutes to breeze past American Vince Spadea 6-2, 6-0 and win the Raiffeisen Grand Prix ATP ATP: see adenosine triphosphate.

 tournament in St. Poelten, Austria.

It was Rios' fifth victory of the year and 10th of his career. Since he also won in Rome last week, the South American goes into the French Open this week as one of the favorites with back-to-back clay court victories.

``I have a lot of concentration and self-confidence,'' he said.

BOWLING: Brian Voss won the PBA's Johnny Petraglia Open in North Brunswick, N.J., beating Tim Criss 238-230. Voss has 12 consecutive years with a win, tying PBA PBA Professional Bowlers Association

Criss seemed on his way to victory, and was perfect through the first six frames of the title match. But, in the seventh he had his first open frame and it left the door open for Voss.

Criss was only able to strike once in the final four frames. Voss struck out in the 10th frame, forcing Criss to throw two strikes and knock down at least eight pins on his final shot. Criss struck on the first but only managed four on his next throw, giving Voss the win.
