VAN NUYS - A missing 9-year-old Panorama City girl was safe Sunday and the transient woman found with her was under arrest on suspicion of child endangerment, police said.

Elizabeth Guadalupe Garcia was reunited with her mother Saturday night at the Glendale police station, said a Van Nuys station detective who declined to give his name.

The girl was last seen Thursday walking with 32-year-old Eva Susana Villacana, who was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment and was being held at the Van Nuys jail in lieu of $65,000 bail, said Detective Harold Rhudy of the Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  Police Department's Van Nuys station.

Public's help sought in freeway shooting

PACOIMA - Police are seeking two people suspected of shooting to death a Canoga Park man as he changed a flat tire on the shoulder of the Golden State Freeway The Golden State Freeway is a north-south freeway running through Kern County and Los Angeles County, California. The victim, Don Terrell Berry, was hit several times in the torso.
