MISSION HILLS - A 16-year-old Panorama City boy was stabbed during a fight in Mission Hills and died at a hospital a short time later, police said Sunday.

The stabbing occurred about 11:30 p.m. Saturday on the 14600 block of San Fernando San Fernando, city, Argentina

Suspect charged in campus assault

PASADENA - Prosecutors charged a Hollywood man with robbery and attempted rape in a campus attack on a college student practicing piano, campus police said Sunday.

The 29-year-old woman was rehearsing when she was approached from behind by an assailant, robbed of $30 and told to lie on the floor. Her attacker put a ski mask over her head and said he had a condom, authorities said.

The woman began screaming and two witnesses came to her aid. The attacker fled but not before witnesses got a description of a car and license plate.

Vinson Horace Champ, 35, was arrested Wednesday by Pasadena City College campus police officers, said campus police spokesman Mark L. Wallace. Witnesses said Champ's 1995 black BMW BMW

4 inmates wounded in Pitchess brawl

SAUGUS - Four inmates were injured in a racially divided fight among 11 inmates at Peter J. Pitchess Detention Center in Saugus on Sunday, a Sheriff's Department spokesman said.

The brawl at the county jail's North County Correctional Facility North County Correctional Facility (NCCF) is a Los Angeles County Jail, run by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Located approximately 40 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, it is one of four jails located within the Pitchess Detention Center (named after former  broke out shortly after 4 p.m., Sgt. David Halm said.
