Budget committee to get public input

The City Council's Budget and Finance Committee is going on the road tonight to let the public talk about the city's budget priorities.

Workshops focus on planning groups

The second in a series of seven community workshops will be held today on new area planning commissions Noun 1. planning commission - a commission delegated to propose plans for future activities and developments

The workshops are being conducted citywide to provide information to the public about the changes in land-use planning required under the charter vote approved in June.

The session will be 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Monarch Hall at Valley College, 5800 Fulton Ave., Van Nuys.

Another workshop will be held Oct. 14 in the Grand Salon of California State University, Northridge CSUN offers a variety of programs leading to bachelor's degrees in 61 fields and master's degrees in 42 fields. The university has over 150,000 alumni. It's also home to a summer musical theater/theater program known as TADW (TeenAge Drama Workshop) that leads teenagers through an .
