BRIEFLY : OXNARD TEEN FOUND IN BURNING CAR DIES.EL RIO - A 17-year-old Oxnard teen died of multiple gunshot wounds to the head one day after he was pulled out of a burning vehicle, authorities said. Firefighters discovered Ezequiel Francisco Miramontez slumped inside a car Thursday night after they received a call about a vehicle fire on the 2600 block of Cortez Street. He was transported to St. John's Regional Medical Center in Oxnard where he died Friday, sheriff's deputies said. A autopsy Friday night revealed Miramontez died of his gunshot wounds, coroners and sheriff's deputies would not release any more details. Investigators are treating the case as a homicide.
