NORTHRIDGE - A Northridge home had minor damage Saturday when someone threw a burning device on the roof, authorities said.

It was reported about 4:30 a.m. in the 10200 block of Hadley Avenue, said city fire spokesperson Bob Collis.

When firefighters arrived, someone put out the fire with a garden hose, he said. Damage was limited to scorches on the roof.

The fire is being investigated as a case of arson.
