THOUSAND OAKS Thousand Oaks, residential city (1990 pop. 104,352), Ventura co., S Calif., in a farm area; inc. 1964. Crossan of Westlake Village was recently elected to a one-year term as president of the nonprofit Conejo Valley The Conejo Valley is a region spanning both Southeastern Ventura County and Northwest Los Angeles County in Southern California, United States. It was discovered in 1542 by Spanish explorer Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, and eventually became part of the Rancho El Conejo land grant by  Senior Concerns.

Crossan, a 21-year Conejo Valley resident, has been a member of Senior Concerns' board of directors for seven years. He succeeds outgoing President An outgoing president is a president or, generally, other head of state or government when he holds office between the election of his successor and the inauguration by which that successor assumes power.  Karen Lindsey.

Crossan and his wife, Marie, are the 1999 co-chairpersons of the organization's major annual fund-raiser, the Ultimate Dining Experience, to be held in August.
