Pit bull mix bites 3-year-old Simi boy

SIMI VALLEY Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969.  - A 3-year-old Simi Valley boy was attacked by a neighbor's dog, a pit bull-terrier mix, suffering lacerations to his face, abdomen and arm, officials said Tuesday.

Simi Valley police said the unidentified boy was playing in his neighbor's garage in the 2500 block of Lowell Court on Monday afternoon when the dog got out of the back yard through an unlocked gate, walked into the garage and attacked the child.
