Austria's Thomas Muster Thomas Muster (born October 2, 1967 in Leibnitz, Austria) is a former World Number 1 tennis player from Austria. At his peak in the mid-1990s, he was known as the "King of Clay". He is considered one of the finest clay court players that the game has produced.  avoided a suspension over his Davis Cup doubles walkout in Brazil when the International Tennis Federation decided Monday that the $8,000 fine it already had imposed was enough punishment.

Muster strutted angrily across the court in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Sept. 21, waving his racket furiously and trying to draw the umpire's attention to fans he said had been spitting, cursing and throwing objects at him.

Sweden was seeded No. 1 and the United States No. 2 for the 1997 Davis Cup World Group.

Ernie Irvan was released from Carolinas Medical Center Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) is a public, not for profit hospital located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
