The state Senate approved a $400,000 budget augmentation to insulate homes under the flight paths of Burbank Airport against aircraft noise, a local lawmaker announced Wednesday.

Adam B. Schiff (born June 20 1960) is an American politician. He first served in the California State Senate.
, D-Pasadena, said the federal government will spend an additional $1.6 million to provide homes with new doors, windows, attic insulation, weather-stripping, and central air and heating systems to help quiet the roar of jets traveling overhead.

The $400,000 in state funds will cover work on about 50 homes under the noisiest flight paths.

GLENDALE - Adventist Health Family Medical Associates will host a Senior Walk and a Women's Health Women's Health Definition

Women's health is the effect of gender on disease and health that encompasses a broad range of biological and psychosocial issues.
 Fair on June 13 at the Glendale YWCA.

After the walk at noon, the health fair will run from 1 to 5 p.m.

The fair will offer a variety of free health screenings including blood sugar testing, bone density screening, body fat analysis, blood pressure check, skin cancer screening, foot check, cholesterol analysis, and a depression and anxiety screening.
