GLENDALE - A series of meetings is being held to provide information about utility deregulation Deregulation

Under the Electric Reconstruction Act Nearly two years after the end of the Civil War, as part of the on-going process of Reconstruction, the United States Congress passed four statutes known as Reconstruction Acts (March 2, 1867 (39 Cong. Ch. 153; 14 Stat. 428), March 23, 1867 (40 Cong. Ch. 6; 15 Stat.  of 1996, the city of Glendale must decide by March 2000 whether to allow competition from private utilities.

Hospital to welcome survivors of cancer

GLENDALE - Glendale Memorial Hospital's Comprehensive Cancer Center is hosting its third annual Cancer Survivor Day Celebration on Friday.

Beginning at 9 a.m., guest speakers will talk about cancer issues, two cancer survivors will tell their inspirational stories and the Donald L. Bogden Cancer Survivor Award will be presented.

At 1 p.m., the Cancer Resource Library will be dedicated.
