THOUSAND OAKS Thousand Oaks, residential city (1990 pop. 104,352), Ventura co., S Calif., in a farm area; inc. 1964. Avocados, citrus, vegetables, strawberries, and nursery products are grown.  - Many Mansions will celebrate 20 years of providing affordable housing during a its Harvest Fest, 4-6 p.m. Saturday at the Shadow Hills Apartments, 227 E. New youth board members selected

THOUSAND OAKS - Conejo Youth Employment Services has announced its Executive Board members for 1999-2000.

Man dies in pool autopsy planned

PORT HUENEME - A 76-year-old man was found dead Monday in a swimming pool at the Carefree Living Association, a 773-unit retirement village.

James O'Leary was found by residents at 5:15 p.m., and pronounced dead five minutes later by paramedics who responded from the fire station at the nearby Construction Battalion Naval Base, officials said. An autopsy was scheduled to determine the cause of death.

Smoke grenades and flares removed

OXNARD - Two smoke grenades and a signal flare were removed by the Ventura County Sheriff's Department The Ventura County Sheriff's Department (VCSD) provides law enforcement for the unincorporated areas of Ventura County, California, USA, as well as several cities within the county. The cities that VCSD serves are Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, and Thousand Oaks.  bomb squad from a home in the 3100 block of South J Street, officials said Tuesday.
