BRIEFLY : MAN TAKES AQUEDUCT SWIM BUT CAN'T FLEE.QUARTZ HILL - A drunk driving suspect who led deputies on a 45-minute chase Wednesday swam across the California Aqueduct in an attempt to escape after his Camaro ran out of gas. The motorist, whose name was not immediately available, was captured by deputies while a Sheriff's Department helicopter kept watch from above. ``He was driving around in circles,'' said Sgt. Greg McHenry. ``He was trying to get away. He knew he'd be going to jail.'' Officials said the motorist drove past his Quartz Hill home several times and reached speeds up to 65 mph. Sheriff's officials ordered patrol deputies to drop back and let the helicopter follow him. Midway through the pursuit, he threw a beer can out his car window, officials said. They said the man has had his license suspended five times and has been convicted at least once for driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. - Daily News Fashion show to help plans for teen center LANCASTER - The J.A.D.E.
