 across the California Aqueduct The California Aqueduct is a 444 mile (715 km)-long[1] aqueduct in the United States that carries water from Northern California to Southern California.  in an attempt to escape after his Camaro ran out of gas.

The motorist, whose name was not immediately available, was captured by deputies while a Sheriff's Department helicopter kept watch from above.

``He was driving around in circles,'' said Sgt. Greg McHenry. ``He was trying to get away. He knew he'd be going to jail.''

Officials said the motorist drove past his Quartz Hill home several times and reached speeds up to 65 mph. Sheriff's officials ordered patrol deputies to drop back and let the helicopter follow him.

Fashion show to help plans for teen center

LANCASTER - The J.A.D.E. Teen Task Force will hold a fashion show at 8 p.m. Friday at the Allied Arts Center, 44851 Cedar cedar, common name for a number of trees, mostly coniferous evergreens. The true cedars belong to the small genus Cedrus of the family Pinaceae (pine family).  Ave., Lancaster.

J.A.D.E. began a feasibility study "A Feasibility Study" is an episode of the original The Outer Limits television show. It first aired on 13 April, 1964, during the first season. It was remade in 1997 as part of the revived The Outer Limits series with a minor title change.  last March to study the possibilities and options of creating a teen center, and will be making a recommendation to Lancaster City Council in March 1998.

The fashion show is a test activity to serve as an example of the kind of events teens are interested in attending.
