BRIEFLY : MAN SURVIVES ATTACK IN HIS NEWHALL HOME.NEWHALL - A 32-year-old man was in stable condition after he was stabbed by an acquaintance in his own home, sheriff's officials said. The victim, whose identity was not released, was stabbed in the upper body shortly before 2:50 a.m. Sunday in the 24800 block of Walnut Street A number of streets are named Walnut Street:
