BRIEFLY : MAN'S BODY FOUND IN PACOIMA ALLEY.


PACOIMA - A man was found dead Thursday night in an alley in the 11500 block of Fellows Avenue, Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  police said.

The unidentified man, who appeared to be in his 20s, was discovered about 8:20 p.m., said Sgt. Frank Reynoso of the LAPD's Foothill station.

Homicide detectives called to the scene hadn't determined the cause of death or how long ago the man had died, Reynoso said.

A judge ordered a former high school basketball star and another man Thursday to stand trial in a series of deadly follow-home robberies.

Shashonee Solomon, 32, also was ordered to stand trial on a murder charge in Tarkhanian's death. The rulings came after a four-week preliminary hearing.

Tarkhanian had broken off a romantic relationship with Solomon, who reportedly recruited Moore to kill her.

PANORAMA CITY - The Panorama Mall is holding a weekend-long Family Fun Festival with games, food and prizes.

The fair, which began Thursday evening in the mall parking lot at Roscoe Boulevard and Tobias Avenue, will continues today from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from noon to 11 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m.

Community leaders and city officials will take turns sitting inside a dunk booth Saturday between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
